The Marquee Band Photo Shoot

May 10th, 2012 | Edmonton Portrait Photography, Edmonton Studio Photography, Edmonton Creative Photography

The Marquee are a great local rock band (and I mean that...they are on my IPod).
They just launched their website themarquee.ca with downloadable music and additional photos.
They are also having their CD release party show at The Pawn Shop on June 1. Get there!

Mike + Jessica Engagement Session

May 10th, 2012 | Edmonton Wedding Photography, Edmonton Studio Photography, Edmonton Engagement Session Photography

Look at this beautiful couple! I'm in tears of joy as I write this blog post.
Besides being great friends and clients, Mike + Jess know how to rock the camera.
Our studio session included smoke, brand new high end fashions, colorful phones, and ended with a night of karoake at The Bend.
With Mike being from Edmonton and Jessica from Houston, we used the "long distance relationship" theme for a few photos.
Even though they usually communicate through texting and Skype, we didn't think that would look as cool :)
Congratulations Mike + Jess! We're so pumped for your glamourous wedding in Houston in October.

PS - Jess, we've done all we can to prepare you for a Canadian winter. Now we just need to convert you to a hardcore lifelong Oilers fan...

Revive Wellness Creative Studio Portrait Session

May 8th, 2012 | Edmonton Portrait Photography, Edmonton Studio Photography

Revive Wellness Inc is a team of private practice Dietitians in Edmonton. They are a fun, energetic, an well-educated group who came to Shadow Box Studios for some creative "corporate" shots for their website and online marketing. We had a fun time shooting the team members with vibrant colors and a wide array of fruits and vegetables, some of which we had never heard of!
Check out www.revivewellness.ca for more information on their services and check out their Facebook group for some healthy lifestyle tips and planning.

Tanner & Amanda - Destination Wedding - Barcelo Resort in Cabo, Mexico

March 12th, 2012 | Edmonton Wedding Photography, Edmonton Destination Wedding Photography

Everyone was in eager anticipation to leave to Mexico when we found out our flight was delayed 4 hours....8 hours...12 hours. Finally boarding at 2:30 AM Thursday and leaving -20 in Edmonton was well worth the wait when we arrived at the Barcelo resort in Lods Cabos Mexico at 7:30 AM.

The first day went by quick with wedding rehearsal, scouting, beach, volleyball, and ending with a late night of cervezas around the fire.Tanner & Amanda's wedding day...what can you say? It was perfect. Amanda said "After over a year of planning and looking at pictures, its crazy to finally be here".

From the outdoor ceremony with onlookers listening from the pool to the wedding talk, to taking pictures in a sketchy abandoned building, to heartfelt wedding speeches, to some hilarious props during the wedding dance...the celebration lasted long into the night...and into the next few days.

Below are some of our favorite pictures from Tanner & Amanda's wedding. Our hope is that they tell the story of one amazing week with friends, family, and clients.

Tanner & Amanda - we were excited for your wedding since we did your engagement photos over a year ago. Your wedding was absolutely beautiful, memorable,  and entertaining and we sought to capture all of the above in our photos.

Congratulations you guys! Many more photos to come.

Tanner & Amanda - Destination Wedding in Cabo - Post Wedding Fun

March 12th, 2012 | Edmonton Wedding Photography, Edmonton Destination Wedding Photography

Our last day in Mexico we did another shoot with Tanner, Amanda, and the groomsmen. We wanted to do a "Mexico has been rough on us" look. Equipped with black eyes, sunburn, face tattoos, a mullet, Tecate light beer, and the Gringo Gazette newspaper, we set out into the backstreets of Cabo and got some hilarious pictures. Cabo has them now.
